The lounge area leads out to a Southfacing covered terrace with open view across the large garden, hills and fields and to the nearby château and church at Marcillat. Guests have shared used of the 8m diameter swimming pool and spacious adjoining decked area equipped with sunloungers. Barbecue. Loan of bicycles. The area gives ample opportunities for fishing, country walks, hiking, bird watching, tennis, visits to buildings and places of interest, Spas and extinct volcanos.The local town of Ebreuil is just 7 km away and offers shopping facilities. The French owner speaks both English and German and is happy to share is local knowledge to make the most of your stay ; He can also make local booking on your behalf.
In the cottage, the spacious and well appointed 1st floor bedroom contains 2 antique 4' (120cm) beds wich may be used as singles or joined to form a super + kingsize bed. The beds benefit from special firm mattresses filled with pure virginwool made by a local Craftsman. The ground floor sofa converts into a comfortable bed for a 3rd person. The well presented bathroom contains full sized bath with shower, WC and washbasin. We provide our guests with bedlinen, bathtowels and take care of the laundering on departure. The kitchen is equipped with china cutlerly, kitchen ustensils, a fast induction electric hob and good sized multifunction microwave, grill and traditional oven, full sized fridge-feezer and of course a chore-saving washing up machine. The living area includes a dining table, chairs and sofa from wich you may enjoy watching a broadcast (satellite TV), a DVD on the television.
